Before going to my dream hotel I did a lot of research to figure out which room is best at Giraffe Manor. When you are spending so much money you want to make sure that it is exactly what you want. I have compiled my research into one place in the hope that it will be helpful to someone else. So which room is the best? The answer depends on what features are most important to you and who you are travelling with.

How many rooms are there?
There are only 12 rooms in Giraffe Manor which makes the experience much more personal. There are 6 rooms in the Main Manor and 6 rooms in the Garden Manor. To find out the difference between the two manors: Giraffe manor- Frequently asked questions
Most of the rooms are named after giraffes, and every room is different with its own unique character like the giraffes. There is only a small variation in price for different rooms, it is therefore best to pick the one that suits you best.
Certain rooms get booked up quicker than others therefore I would recommend booking at least a year in advance.

Below is a summary of the types of beds and main features in each room.

Rooms with a balcony
Betty and Daisy’s rooms have their own balcony that you can feed the giraffes from in the morning. Betty is a beautiful room that looks like it would be amazing for a honeymoon.
Rooms that you can feed giraffes from
In the Garden Manor the Kelly and Helen rooms offer the opportunity to feed the giraffes from your bedroom window. We were talking to other guests who were staying in the Kelly room. They fell asleep with their lights on and at 05:30 a giraffe was tapping on the window and impatiently waiting for pellets.

Jock’s room
The best thing about this room is the early morning visitors. There is something so special about being able to wake up and feed giraffes straight away.
At 05:30 on our first morning Edd was waiting at the window for his pre-breakfast snack. I was ready with a big bowl of pellets that was left on the side. It was such a peaceful and surreal moment, just us and the giraffe.
The room itself was beautiful and felt very spacious. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom had an amazing rain shower. But my favourite part of the decor was the little giraffe touches like a giraffe doorstop and champagne glasses.

Which room should I choose?
If you are a couple I would definitely suggest staying in Betty’s room because in my opinion it is the most romantic. Especially as it has a balcony and a window to feed the giraffes from.
If you want to feed giraffes from your window but want twin beds then I recommend Jock’s room.
For a family of 4 the best options are the Karen Blixen suite and the Finch Hatton suite. But the Karen Blixen suite is the best out of the two as it offers the opportunity to feed giraffes from the balcony.
Whichever room you end with, the experience will be amazing because the best parts of your stay won’t involve your room. It will be at breakfast or afternoon tea with some of the most beautiful animals in the world.
